Tiffany & Co. aesthetic sterling silver porringer dish, circa 1880s. Measurements: 7 1/4" across (with handle); bowl is 5" across and 2" deep. Weight: 6.6 troy ounces. Bears hallmark as shown. This elegant piece features a uniquely heavy handle and a beautifully intricate engraving. In 1878, Tiffany won the gold medal for jewelry and a grand prize for silverware at the Paris World Fair Exposition. The maker's enduring legacy as a luxury brand remains vibrant to this day.
