The Elgin American Manufacturing Company was a subsidiary of the Illinois Watchase Company, founded in 1889 by Eppenstein Brothers Company. Manufacturer of match boxes, vanity sets, photo and cigarette cases, and other novelties, some of their pieces are in the permanent collection of the Elgin History Museum.
