Cohen & Solomon English Sterling Silver 1918 Cigar Box/ Humidor in Art Deco Style

Albert Cohen & Charles Solomon sterling silver and wood cigar box or humidor, made in Birmingham, England in 1918, and in Art Deco style, with an elegant, geometric design and finely engraved on the top. It measures 9 1/8'' in length by 6 1/8'' in depth by 3 1/4'' in height and bears hallmarks as shown.

Albert Cohen & Charles Solomon was established in 1890 at 11 Thavies Inn, Holborn, London. Albert Cohen and Charles Solomon were highly respected manufacturing jewelers and silversmiths, who were the sole representatives for the Parisian firm Baudet Freres & Cie in Great Britain and the colonies.  In 1958, the business was bought by S.J. Rose & Sons.
